Teaching and Editing

I began teaching creative writing to adults in 1986, but — over the past ten years — have gradually shifted my focus to teaching movement. You can find out more about my movement classes here.

I regularly work with writers on manuscript development. I am particularly interested in manuscripts in any genre which deal with somatics. I also take on memoirs and novels.

I see both forms of teaching as expressions of the same motivation: to help people get taller.

My latest project is a series of presentations called The Work: Straight Talk on Method and Craft. They’ll be offered live at The Red Sandcastle Theatre in Toronto, as well as on Zoom, for those who can’t attend in person. You can find more information here, and you can register here.
